The Prime Time Goddess

Talar, a wild Middle East country, a strange war… Russian war correspondents Olga Shelestova and Nikita Belyaev set out to the front line to shoot a report. On their way back Olga sits into their colleagues-journalists’ car to be in time for the broadcast and they all disappear without a trace. The hotel room she stayed in is a mess, which means that it wasn’t an accidental kidnapping…

Belyaev returns in Moscow alone. His colleagues treat him with suspicion: how could it happen that he came off unhurt? But his boss and Olga’s husband Bachrushin, informational programming director of the channel, is bound to trust Belyaev. It leaks out that there is a secret video film of an elusive Taliban leader Akbar. This information comes from Paris. Oddly enough, before the kidnapping Olga received a parcel exactly from Paris with a cassette that also vanished later. Bachrushin realizes that these events are interrelated somehow, so he flies to Talar to search for his wife. And Belyaev meets a gorgeous news presenter, a newcomer on the channel – Alina Lavrova. Somebody’s been blackmailing her – she is threatened to be killed if she doesn’t leave the channel. Belyaev rushes to her rescue…
